This new body of text-based works extents my interest in visual communication as it relates to the power and limitations of language and the written word. These paintings and sculptures emphasize humanity's enduring unwillingness to heed the myriad lessons that have been compiled and remain readily available, often in the form of proverbs or sage advice. We have the benefit of all this wisdom and knowledge, but to what end?
